Anatomy Laboratory

Vision

The laboratory aims to enhance the foundational understanding of medical students in core medical sciences, specifically in histology and anatomy.

Mission

To prepare competent students in histological and anatomical sciences, equipping them to utilize this knowledge in their future medical careers. This is achieved through the study of the body’s tissue structures, understanding key physiological processes, and exploring the interconnected relationships between them.

Objectives

1- To build a foundational knowledge of human tissue science and understand normal human tissues, which is essential for various medical applications. 2- To introduce the basic principles of anatomy and histology, along with scientific and topographic terminology. 3- To familiarize students with important anatomical structures and physiological processes, as well as their interconnected relationships within the body’s different systems and organs. 4- To study the precise fluid and electrolyte systems in the body and learn methods for analyzing their normal ranges in a laboratory setting. 5- To understand and examine organs involved in blood supply, including the cardiovascular, lymphatic, and renal systems, and their roles in maintaining physiological functions, along with the types of tissues they comprise. 6- To develop students’ skills through critical questions, discussions, and lab-specific assessments.
