The Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the College of Nursing, like other colleges with medical specializations, is dedicated to teaching courses in various basic science disciplines to build a solid scientific foundation for the college’s students. During the first and second academic years, the department covers a range of scientific subjects, including anatomy and histology, biochemistry, nutrition, microbiology (1 and 2), pathophysiology, pharmacology, statistics, Arabic language, law, and democracy.

1-To elevate students' knowledge to a level where they can integrate different sciences to support nursing and health sciences. 2-To keep pace with scientific and technological advancements, using the latest medical techniques in conducting tests and analytical procedures to diagnose various diseases and treatment methods. 3-To strengthen students' confidence in taking on responsibility and enhancing their analytical abilities to provide scientific and logical interpretations of medical cases encountered across health institutions. 4-To aspire to establish scientific connections locally and globally between college students, universities, and other healthcare institutions.
